Shares of Mumbai-based utility vehicle maker Force Motors rose 5 per cent to hit a high of Rs 1,555.40. Force Motors’ domestic sales grew by 39 per cent to 1,968 units in September as against 1,418 units sold in the same month last year. Its production in September increased by 44 per cent to 2,159 units. Force Motors sales rose 25 per cent to 272 units from exports, the company’s exchange filing showed.
In the month of September, Force Motors sold 1,144 units of small commercial vehicles (SCVs) and light commercial vehicles, while sales of utility vehicles (UVs), sports utility vehicles (SUVs) and tractors stood at 824 units.
Small and light commercial vehicles produced 1,391 units and produced 768 sports utility vehicles (SUVs), tractors and utility vehicles.
Shares of Force Motors changed a total of 5,607 shares on the BSE, compared to an average of 4,923 shares traded daily in the last two weeks. The company’s 1.45 lakh shares were exchanged till 12:06 pm on the National Stock Exchange.
Shares of Force Motors have gained 14.24 per cent so far this year, up 26 per cent against the Sensex.
As of 12:08 pm, Force Motors shares were trading 2.2 per cent higher at Rs 1,514, compared to the Sensex’s 0.22 per cent rise.
