No change in petrol, diesel prices on Monday

Fuel Prices: Domestic petrol and diesel prices vary across states due to Value Added Tax (VAT).

Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged in metros on Monday, October 4, after rising for three consecutive trading sessions. According to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), petrol in the national capital stood at a record high of Rs 102.39 per liter and diesel at Rs 90.77 per liter. In Mumbai, fuel rates remain among the highest among metro cities; Petrol costs Rs 108.43 per liter and diesel costs Rs 98.48 per liter. Petrol and diesel prices in metro cities are as follows:

State-run oil refiners like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel rates on a daily basis, taking into account crude oil prices and rupee-dollar exchange rates in international markets. Any change in the prices of petrol and diesel is effective from 6 am every day.
