Petrol, Diesel Price Today: Petrol and diesel prices have been increased in metros on Thursday, 30 September. Petrol prices in the national capital have gone up by 25 paise to Rs 101.64 per liter from Rs 101.39 per liter and diesel has become costlier by 30 paise from Rs 89.57. According to Indian Oil Corporation Rs 89.87 per litre. Of the four metro cities, Mumbai has the highest fuel rates, according to state-run oil refiners. Fuel rates vary from state to state due to Value Added Tax or VAT.

State-run oil refiners like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel rates on a daily basis keeping in mind the rupee-dollar exchange rates along with crude oil prices in international markets. Any change in the prices of petrol and diesel is effective from 6 am every day.
Meanwhile, oil prices fell on Wednesday as US crude inventories rose more than expected, even as OPEC plans to maintain its deliberate approach to adding supplies to the market .
Brent crude fell 45 cents to $78.64 a barrel and US oil prices were down 46 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $74.83 a barrel.
