Petrol, Diesel Price Today: Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise on Friday, October 15, following a jump in global crude oil prices. According to the Indian Oil Corporation, the rates of petrol and diesel in the national capital increased by 35 paise to Rs 105.14 and Rs 93.87 per liter respectively. Earlier on Thursday, the rates were increased by 35 paise.
Petrol price in Mumbai increased by 34 paise to Rs 111.09 per liter, while diesel price increased by 38 paise to Rs 101.78 per litre. Of the four metro cities, Mumbai has the highest fuel rates, according to state-run oil refiners. Rates vary from state to state due to Value Added Tax or VAT.
