India’s FDI inflows up 38% to $6.24 billion in April

India has attracted a total foreign direct investment (FDI) of $6.24 billion in April 2021, which is 38 percent higher than the total of $4.53 billion in the same month last year. In April, total FDI equity inflows into the country were recorded at $4.44 billion, up 60 per cent from $2.77 billion in the same month last year, government data showed on Wednesday, June 23.

According to the commerce ministry, the steps taken for FDI policy reforms including facilitation of investment and ease of doing business have resulted in an increase in FDI inflows into the country.
