As claimed by reports from some sections of the media, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Eknath Khadse is set to join the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the BJP Maharashtra president denied these claims.
The state president of the BJP, Chandrakant Patil, said that he had not yet received the resignation of any leader from the party and believed that Mr. Khadse had no such plans.
“Anybody who resigns from the party sends me my resignation as the party’s president in the state. I have not received the resignation of any senior or junior leader of the party. I believe Eknath Khadse, who is our senior leader. Yes, no such thing will be done, ”said Mr. Patil.
Mr Khadse was allegedly sacked from the Uttar Pradesh cabinet in 2016 along with his former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis after several allegations.
