India’s COVID-19 case crossed the 53 lakh mark with an increase of 93,337 new cases in the last 24 hours, data released by the Ministry of Health on Saturday showed. The total number of confirmed cases is now 53,08,015, including 10,13,964 active cases. 1,247 people died during a 24-hour period in the country.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, more than 42 lakh people have beaten COVID-19 so far in the country. Some 41 million people have been recovered in the US.
Meanwhile, is going on The monsoon session of the Lok Sabha will be closed for several daysThe government took the decision after deliberating with the opposition at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee this evening. The center is concerned for the safety of lawmakers after the trio – who attended the session – tested positive for coronovirus earlier this week when their mandatory test report came negative.
The government had previously discussed with the opposition as it was trying to build a consensus. Many opposition parties were also in favor of airing the convention.
The session in Lok Sabha is expected till Wednesday next week. The Rajya Sabha, the upper house of parliament, is expected to follow suit.

On Saturday, an official said the city of Pune reported 1,658 new coronovirus cases in the last 24 hours, with COVID-19 taking the count to 1,30,0081, while the number of 39 deaths rose to 3,046.
He said that a total of 1,248 people were discharged during the day.

4,644 new COVID-19 cases, 2,862 recoveries and 18 deaths in Kerala today, up to 37,488 active cases and death count up to 519: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan
Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said eight more COVID-19 patients died due to the virus in Assam on Saturday.
He said the state’s coronavirus grew to 1,55,453 with 2,595 new cases.
Shri Sarma said that deaths have been reported from Majuli, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Sivasagar, Kamrup Rural, Chirang and Golpara districts.
The latest cases include 553 from Kamrup Metropolitan, 205 from Jorhat, 199 from Lakhimpur and 173 from Golaghat.
Assam has conducted 28,71,017 tests since Friday and 35,175 have stated.
The recovery rate is 80.90 percent, in which 1,23,684 patients have recovered.
The state now has 31,218 active cases, while three have escaped.
