The shares of Noida-based HCL Technologies rose nearly 2 percent on Thursday, a day after the IT chief announced the expansion of a strategic partnership with Google. In a regulatory filing after market hours on Wednesday, HCL Tech said the agreement with Google Cloud to bring its Actian portfolio to Google Cloud. (Track HCL Technologies Share Price)
HCL said Avalan Avalanche is a high-performance hybrid cloud data warehouse, designed to power the enterprise’s most demanding operational analytics workload.
The product enables an intuitive way to move legacy data warehouses from Google Cloud to Google Cloud, via hybrid cloud leveraging Google Cloud’s AnthOS application platform, it added.
HCL Tech holds a majority stake in California-based Actian.
At 2:30 pm, shares of HCL Technologies were trading up 0.38 per cent on the BSE at Rs 170.80, down 0.46 per cent against the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex index.
