Matar ka Nimona is a famous matar curry made in Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas. It is usually made in winters considering the availability of fresh and crisp peas outside the fields. Matar ka nimona is a thick green curry made with green pea paste, tomato puree, asafoetida and other Indian spices. How to make Homemade Matar Ka Nimona Recipe:
Divide the peas into two parts. Coarsely grind one batch and finely grind the other. Heat oil in a pan and make masala by adding ginger-garlic paste, onion and tomato puree and other ingredients. In another pan, fry the pea paste in ghee until its raw smell goes away. Add green pea paste to the masala and cook for two minutes with the lid on. Remove from flame and serve hot.
