Cafe Delhi Heights is known for embracing Indian food and presenting it in a unique yet familiar way. From classic Indian street food to authentic regional curries, this is the place to eat desi. With multiple outlets across the city, Cafe Delhi Heights is a chain of restaurants that keeps on growing. It is designed to be a family friendly place, a place where people of all ages can find something to love. While they are primarily famous for Indian flavours, this time around they decided to introduce the flavors of the West with a Thanksgiving special menu and I had the pleasure of tasting it.
Thanksgiving is an annual celebration celebrated by being grateful and eating a grand feast. Thanksgiving and meals go hand in hand because eating out with family and friends is a big part of the tradition. Another important part is the turkey. Any Thanksgiving meal is incomplete without roasted turkey. Cafe Delhi Heights decided to take these elements of celebration to create a sumptuous and delicious menu. The focus of the menu was on serving the specialties of the season – turkey, duck and winter vegetables. We tried a variety of specialties to get a unique taste of the tradition. The classic roast turkey, the festival’s special, was on the menu, but it needs to be pre-ordered the day before.
I started with the Duck Pasta Pesto d’Aglio Olio e Pepperoncino. Then I ordered the hot winter greens pizza with turkey that was filled with delicious winter classics like broccoli, peas, green onions and more! Next I tried the Poached Salmon Fillet Steak. The soft and juicy steak was accompanied by rice, hash browns and pesto sauce to make it a filling and delicious meal. We ended our dinner with dessert and served baked apple and cinnamon pie with a scoop of ice cream.
Overall, the hearty menu encapsulates Thanksgiving at its best and if you are someone who wants to try an authentic Thanksgiving dinner then Cafe Delhi Heights is the place for you.
