1. Besan Sheera

Besan ka sheera is an ayurvedic recipe from Punjab made from gram flour, ghee, milk, turmeric and black pepper. It is a soothing hot drink for throat and nose. “Ginger, black pepper, turmeric and other components can help strengthen our body and boost immunity,” says Dr Balwant Mardia of 2S Wellness Centre, Jodhpur.

You need basic ingredients for these cough drops.

2. Homemade Cough Drops

This homemade cough drop is made from the properties of ginger, honey and lemon. These three elements are known for their health benefits. Honey has a variety of antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. According to a 2012 study published in the journal Pediatrics, honey helps treat persistent cough.

3. Turmeric Milk / Turmeric Milk

Turmeric is globally known for boosting immunity as it contains anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral agents to boost our immunity. Ayurvedic expert Dr BN Sinha suggests drinking a glass of milk with turmeric twice a day.

5.Carrot Soup

Carrots are known to improve our eyesight but not only that. Carrots help produce vitamin A, vitamin A helps protect against infections and reduces the risk of respiratory diseases. The heat from a hot bowl of soup soothes the body. Therefore carrot soup can help the body fight the flu.
