The way we are eating has changed a lot in 2020. Preference for people ordering food at home is increasing compared to eating outside. In a recent report, we saw that Biryani was the most ordered dish in the year 2020. It was no surprise for a nation that is extremely passionate about this dish, the region’s best biryani. However, a recent post by Zomato suggests that pizza was also one of the best-loved favorites ordered at home in 2020. Take a look:

Zomato India rewinded with some hilarious memes format during 2020, which became popular through the year. He shared some information on how to order India through the food delivery app this year. Biryani was still the most ordered dish, as it was delivered 22 times every minute in the past year. Veg Biryani was actually ordered 1,988,094 times in 2020. But the one-pot rice dish was not on the minds of Indians this year.

Interestingly, Jomato saw an increase in orders for pizza in the second half of 2020. He revealed that 4.5 lakh + orders were placed for pizza in May, followed by 9 lakh + orders in July. The love for pizza also continued through the months of September and November, where the app received 12 lakh + and 17 lakh + orders for the Italian dish. That’s not all, a man from Jalgaon in Maharashtra broke all records by ordering 369 pizzas in 2020.
