Sameera Reddy and mother-in-law had the most fun while cooking on International Cook’s Day



We all know that actress Sameera Reddy enjoys playing the chef at home. She posted an interesting Instagram reel of herself and her mother-in-law Majri Verde on Thursday cooking up a storm. They posted the reels to mark the occasion of International Chefs Day, celebrated on 20 October every year. Cooking videos of Sameera and her mother-in-law, titled “Messy Mama Aur Sassy Sasu”, are making rounds on social media and this one is no different. In the video montage, we see her mother-in-law cooking up a storm in the kitchen. “All my followers are going to line up outside my door, okay?” Manjari says while making the delicious paratha.

Sameera Reddy captioned the post, “Fun, drama and good food. Let us celebrate home chefs and professionals. International Cooks Day. Let’s keep cooking fun and easy.” She used the hashtags “Messy Mama and Sassy Sasu,” “Saas Bahu” and “Cooking.”

Sameera and her mother-in-law often cook together and share different recipes with fans on social media. In one such video that Sameera shared a few days back, we saw her mother-in-law teaching her two new recipes – suran (elephant leg ka yam) special burger and bhaji. Sameera said that her mother-in-law introduced her to a versatile vegetable called suran. It is yam and grows under the ground, she said. Sameera shared that suran is a good source of carbohydrates and is great for the skin.

For the suran burger, her mother-in-law peeled and cut the suran and potatoes and added salt to them. He steamed it and mashed it with onions, ground ginger, ground green chilies, cumin powder, chopped coriander, sugar and salt to taste. Then he rolled the mixture into patties and shallow bottomed them. Sameera finally made the burger and put the patties inside.

For suran ki sabzi, he cooked suran and potatoes in steam and mashed them. Also, he prepared a dry curry out of it using a bunch of spices. Read all about it here.

Earlier, Sameera told her followers about how to make delicious mango pickle from mother-in-law Manjari Verde’s Rasoi. Earlier, Sameera had once shared a snapshot of an omelet with a happy face on it. This time, he credited the artwork to his son, Hans.
