Hunger and food insecurity are issues the world is collectively grappling with. Millions of people go hungry every day without eating a single meal. Some citizens are voluntarily giving their contribution for the needy and providing them food and water. An example of this would be Tamil Nadu’s famous M. Kamalathal aka Idli Amma – who cooks and serves idlis to migrant laborers and workers. To make food accessible and affordable to the people, the cost of idli is just Re 1. The heartwarming story of Idli Amma went viral in 2021, with many well-known personalities sharing their admiration for her selfless venture. And now, industrialist Anand Mahindra and his team of engineers have built a new home for the aged. Check out Anand Mahindra’s tweet here:

Thanks to the backing support, the 80-year-old’s venture not only delivered a gas connection but also a plot of land issued in his name. Click here to read more about it.

To serve the society selflessly is a noble act.
Encouraging such people is increasing their energy to do more for the society. ,
I have come to know that in Karnataka also old couples are serving food for less money than their poverty. – Anilkumar (@Anilkumargm) 8 May 2022
