Viral Food Trend: Pink Sauce Takes the Internet by Storm; twitter reaction



Have you heard of pink chutney? Indian foodies will instantly pair it with pink sauce pasta. But no, this is not the same pink chutney we are talking about. Actually, it is a unique spice from USA which has recently gone viral on social media. wonder why? This is probably due to the ingredients used in the recipe. Created by Miami-based mixologist Chef PII – Pink Sauce is on the market since July 2022. According to the official website of Pink Sauce (that’s the name of the brand!), the spice is made by adding dragon fruit. Fruit, sunflower seeds, honey, chili flakes and garlic. The website further states that the sauce has high nutritional value and does not contain any dairy, protein or cholesterol.

The unique pink sauce initially started trending when Chef Pai took to his social media to share videos of him combining the pink sauce with fries, burgers, fried chicken, etc. Take a look at one such video (on Instagram) where we can see her slathering and pouring generous amounts of pink sauce on KFC Fried Chicken.

If you follow Chef P on Instagram, then you will get to see many such videos with Pink Sauce. Within no time these videos caught the attention of people on the internet. And they soon started reacting to this one-of-a-king (read: controversial) sauce.

“I’m deep in this “pink sauce” business and I can’t believe you’re buying sauce from a woman in Miami with no preservatives and shipping it across state lines during this record-breaking season. You all know we don’t have free healthcare,” wrote one person on Twitter.

Another person tweeted, “Using pink sauce will wake you up 40 miles from your house and in someone’s basement.”

“What I know about the pink sauce ingredient is that it looks really disgusting,” read a third post on Twitter.
