Kitchen Tips: 5 easy ways to crack a coconut, shared by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor:

Step 1. Peel off dry, excess skin.

Step 2. Poke a hole in the top of the coconut with a skewer and transfer the water to a glass.

Step 3. Break the coconut into two parts.

Step 4. Place each half on the gas stove and smoke the tough outer shell.

Step 5. Now, easily take out the meat and it is ready for consumption.
