1,26,789 recent COVID-19 cases in India in new one-day record

India posted 1,26,789 new Kovid cases, setting a more serious one-day record as the county fights a second wave of infection. 685 deaths in the last 24 hours brought the total count to 1,66,862.

The total number of cases is now more than 12.9 million since the first recorded infection in India in January last year, which is the third most hit country after the United States and Brazil.
