New Delhi:

Nearly two weeks after the murder of Sagar Rana, a former junior national wrestling champion outside the parking lot of Chhatrasal Stadium in New Delhi, the Delhi Police has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for any information for the arrest of wrestler Sushil Kumar. He is absconding in connection with the case.

Delhi Police officials said that a reward of Rs 50,000 has also been announced for Ajay, absconding in the same case.

Earlier, a Delhi court had issued a non-bailable warrant against the accused, including Sushil Kumar, in the murder of 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium.

On May 4, an incident of controversy broke out between the wrestlers in which some wrestlers were injured and had to be hospitalized and one of them died while undergoing treatment.

However, wrestler Sushil denied the allegation on 5 May, saying that his wrestlers were not involved in the fight inside the Chhatrasal Stadium.

Wrestler Sushil is seen as one of the most successful athletes in the country since he won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics, and four years earlier, he won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics.
