Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday inaugurated air taxi services from Chandigarh to Hisar under the central government’s UDAN scheme.
Mr. Khattar also informed that in the second phase air service will also start from Hisar to Dehradun, while in the third phase two more routes will be added.
The Chief Minister said, “For the first time in the country, a small aircraft is being used for services as an air taxi.”
“In the second phase, services from Hisar to Dehradun start from January 18. In the third phase, two more routes from Chandigarh to Dehradun and Hisar to Dharamshala will be added on January 23. The company’s plan is Shimla, Kullu, and more Haryana. Route, ”he said.
Mr. Khattar further said that these air taxis will be four-seater and have a speed limit of 250 km / h.
“I congratulate the state as well as the rest of the country for the introduction of this air taxi. Air taxis are in other countries. The fare from these air taxis is not as expensive. If we reach Hisar from Chandigarh, So this is normal. He said that the fare of a person in Volvo bus is Rs 700. Here a passenger will have to spend Rs 1,755.
