Today is Hygiene Day. The World Health Organization (WHO) said in its message today, “The hands of nurses, midwives, doctors and other health workers make all the difference to safe patient care. We wash our hands several times a day but do we tell it properly Is how experts suggest. Unfortunately, we cannot be. Many people will not even be aware of how they can wash their hands properly.World Hand Hygiene Day, Amid increasing COVID-19 infection, we should try to spread awareness about hand hygiene. Let us share each other’s campaign and shout slogans on World Hand Cleanliness Day.
World Hand Sanitation Day slogan: Clean hands save lives
WHO’s slogan this year is ‘Clean hands save life’ The right hand-washing technique goes a long way to keep yourself and others safe in the midst of an epidemic. Here are six simple and necessary steps that everyone is capable of following:
Step 1: Wet your hands and apply enough liquid soap to make a good liquid.
Step 2: Rub your palms in circular motion – clockwise and anticluckwise.
Step 3: Rub the back of the hands and between the fingers.
Step 4: Interlink your fingers and rub well
Step 5: Clean the thumb and nails
Step 6: Most importantly, the entire hand wash time should be at least 20 seconds
Clean hands save lives and as such are important to prevent the spread of disease # COVID-19. Yet 2 out of every 5 people on 2 lack basic handwashing facilities.

Hand hygiene is the easiest and best way to stop the spread of germs that can make you and others sick. Hand cleaning is important not only for those involved in patient care or in the hospitality and catering business, but also in low-risk environments, such as germs in the offices and homes that move among people.
