Pakistani woman who has been living illegally in Karnataka since 2015 arrested: Police

Karwar, Karnataka:

A Pakistani national who has been living illegally with her three children since 2015 in Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.

Pakistani national Khadija Mehreen married Mohideen Rukuddin of Bhatkal in Dubai in 2014.

Police said he had traveled to India on a tourist visa for three months and entered India illegally in 2015.

She said that during her stay she gave birth to three children. He also obtained a ration card, Aadhar card, PAN card and a voter ID card.

Following a tip-off, he was arrested and produced in a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody, police said.
