Jadeja is a prominent member of the CSK camp, useful to the team as a lower-order hitter and main spin bowler. In the absence of Harbhajan Singh, who is ruled out of IPL 2020 due to personal reasons, Jadeja may be the main spinner in the XI.

Deepak Chahar, one of the players who tested positive, has since conducted two negative tests and rejoined the team.
However, the other player to test positive is Ruturaj Gaikwad. Still in isolation CSK awaits approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for Gaikwad to join the team’s bio-bubble.
CSK played their first game on 19 September against Mumbai Indians.
