US President Donald Trump said a White House staffer tested positive for COVID-19, but the person was not “possessed” or “with” him. “It was nobody I had,” Trump said at a press conference.
“It was a person,” Trump said. “This was not a person I was associated with.”
The press talks came a day after Trump met with three world leaders at the White House to sign the Middle East peace deal.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister of both Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) were present for signed agreements to establish formal relations with Israel, the first in a quarter-century to break a long-term taboo Became Arab state.
White House press secretary Kayle McNee said at the press conference that the confirmed case “did not affect the White House incident” and that the person did not have members of the press.
