First double-decker AC bus to run in Mumbai from Friday; Find out its price

Mumbai: The wait for Mumbaikars to get to Garegaar in the first BEST air-conditioned electric double-decker bus is almost over. Air-conditioned double-decker buses will now be operating on Mumbai’s roads next Friday. Along with this, a total of 900 electric buses will now run in Mumbai. Next Friday, 900 e-buses will be running on the roads of Mumbai and the first batch of these buses will be launched on selected routes in Mumbai. After that, 225 more electric buses will enter BEST’s new fleet by the end of this year. Another 225 buses will enter in March next year. Passengers will have to pay Rs.6 for this bus for the minimum distance (i.e. 5 km).

45 old double-decker buses run in Mumbai

A total of 45 old double-decker buses are currently running in Mumbai. These buses will be removed. In 1947, there were a total of 242 buses in the double-decker bus fleet. After that, 882 additional buses were added to this fleet during the period from 1947 to 1993.
