Comrade Kumar Shiralkar: Communist Party leader Kumar Shiralkar (80) died Sunday night at a private hospital in Nashik. He is being treated for cancer.

Mr. Ta. Representative, Nashik: Communist Party leader Kumar Shiralkar (80) died Sunday evening in a private hospital in Nashik. He is being treated for cancer. He died around 8:30 p.m. Shiralkar’s body will be cremated at BT Ranadive High School, Mod (Taloda, Nandurbar District) tomorrow (3:00 PM).

A few days ago, after treatment in Mumbai, Pune, Comrade Shiralkar received a visit from the Union Leader and National Vice President of SITU in Nashik. D. L Karad was admitted to a private hospital. Dr. Shiralkar said that thousands of activists participated in the organization “Situ”. Karad told ‘Mata’.

Until 2014, Shiralkar served as a member of the state and central committees of the party. He was also a member of the delegation representing the Marxist Communist Party of India which visited China under the leadership of Comrade Sitaram Yechury. He contributed to farmers and sugar cane workers throughout his life. He was recognized as a fierce fighter for his work in building organizations and building the fight for fair workers’ rights. After completing his graduate studies at IIT, Shiralkar fought for the development and progress of farmers throughout his life.
