Okra, Ghewda within reach while Coriander, Fenugreek within Tora; ‘This’ is the price of vegetables – vegetable prices have increased in Nashik

Nasik: Due to the ongoing stoppage of the rains in the district, the arrival of vegetables has increased and the prices have also come within reach of the common people. Okra, brinjal, gilke, dodka became cheaper. So coriander, fenugreek are still expensive. In addition, peas are sold at Rs 120 to 150 per kg.

The arrival of vegetables has been slow due to the rains of recent days. For this reason, the prices of leafy vegetables had increased. But now those rates have started to drop. While the arrival of vegetables in the market has increased, the demand has also decreased due to fasting during the Navratri festival. Okra, which was selling between Rs 100 and Rs 120 per kg last week, is currently selling between Rs 70 and Rs 80. While the prices of gilke, dodke, brinjal have risen to 60 to 70 rupees per kg. As the influx of coriander and fenugreek has not been steady, prices continue to rise. Currently, fenugreek and coriander are priced at Rs 40 to 50 per pair.

Increased demand for peanut pods, sweet potatoes

The demand for fruits has increased during Navratri celebrations. Peanut pods have entered the market and are being sold at the rate of Rs 80 to 100 per kg. Sweet potatoes are sold between 70 and 90 rupees per kg. Apart from this, the demand for fruits such as apple, banana, coriander, guava, papaya has also increased. Apples are available from Rs 100 per kg and prices of other fruits are less than Rs 100. Demand for milk has increased, but prices have remained stable.
