Pune: Police recruitment in the state has stalled for three years. So young people who tried their luck in the army or the police were waiting. The youths were very happy when the police recruitment (police bharti 2023) was finally announced. The recruitment process will be closed from February 18 to February 27. The Pune Police took the decision against the background of the Kasba Assembly by-elections. This information was given by Deputy Police Commissioner Rohidas Pawar. Initially, the recruitment process continued for 500 candidates. However, in the later period, the process of recruiting 2000 candidates began.
66 thousand 142 applications were received

Recruitment continued for the posts of police officer and driver. 6 thousand 843 applications were submitted for the position of driver. The process to fill these positions starts from January 3rd. But the recruitment process will be closed between February 18 and February 27 in view of the Kasba elections.
Selection list of 870 names for the position of driver
The candidate field testing process was held from January 3 to January 17 for the recruitment process for the position of Police Constable Driver. A provisional preselection of a total of 870 candidates who passed the field test and qualified for the vehicle test was established.
This was posted on the Pune City Police website. Among these candidates, this shortlist is prepared in a 1:10 ratio of vacancies mentioned in the advertisement. To file an objection or complaint in this regard by writing a request to Police Control Room, Pune by 19th February.
Young people in most parts of the state had been practicing police recruiting for two months. More than eighteen lakh applications have been received for nearly fourteen thousand seats from across the state. Physical and field tests have also started in Pune. But due to the by-election in Kasba Peth, this process has been put on hold.
