The Hindu Hrudayasmarat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samriddhi highway was inaugurated two months ago by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this highway has been opened to ordinary people. Since the opening of the Samriddhi highway, many accidents have occurred on this highway. Two days ago a high-speed car climbed a guardrail near the Shirdi interchange in Kopargaon, the driver of the vehicle escaped unscathed.
However, at Kokamthan Shivara in Kopargaon taluka on Friday afternoon, a Maruti Suzuki Brezza car #MH49BB6620 burst the left tire and hit the separator. The impact was so strong that the front part of the car was completely crushed.
Information received from Samriddhi Highway sources is that Rajesh Rajaram Rahate (about 52 years old, Year Res. Nagpur) with his daughter Leena Rajesh Rahate (18 years old), niece Avantika Vazulkar (16 years old) and sister-in-law Alka Vazulkar ( -42 yrs, Res..Bhandara) was traveling from Nagpur to Nashik on the Samrudhi highway for medical reasons.
After reaching Kokamthan Shivara at Kopargaon taluka on Friday afternoon, his car’s tire burst and the car hit the bulkhead. In this, Rajesh Rahate and Alka Vazulkar were seriously injured. Local citizens and helpers from the Samriddhi highway rushed him to a hospital in Kopargaon for treatment, where doctors pronounced him dead. While injured girls Leena and Avantika are treated at SJS Hospital.
Meanwhile, Leena lost her father and Avantika her mother in this unfortunate incident. Meanwhile, after getting information about the incident, Samriddhi Highway Ambulance traffic police and MSF staff asked for help. On this point, the work of registering the sudden death at Kopargaon city police station is in progress.
