Representative, Thane: As water canal works under the Thane Municipal Corporation’s own water supply system will be carried out between February 21 and 24, the water supply in different parts of the city will be closed during this period. In some places, the water supply will be cut off for 12 hours, while in some areas, the water supply will be cut off for 24 to 36 hours. Also, since the water supply will be less for the next two to three days after this shutdown, the Thane Municipal Corporation has appealed to citizens to use water properly.
A main water channel of the Thane Municipal Water Supply System is adjacent to National Road No. NH-3. The water channel of this project will be closed at six different places. During this period, only 50 percent of the water will come from the municipal water supply system. Additionally, the installation of a vacuum air valve on the main water channel at Saket Bridge, the connection of the newly laid 1168mm water channel to Indiranagar with the main water channel at Tinhat Naka, daily maintenance and repair work on the water supply will be carried out from February 21 to 24. Therefore, water supply will be done in the city of Thane in a phased manner. February 21 9am to 9pm 12pm, February 23 9pm to 9am 12pm and Friday February 24 9pm to 9.36am total Ghodbunder Road, Majiwada, Balkum, Bhamand, Dhokali, Kolshet, Manpada, Azadnagar, Patlipada , Dongripada, Waghbeel, Vijayanagari, Kasarvadvali, Ovala Bhayanderpada will be closed.
On February 21 and 22 from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., water supply will be cut off in parts of Gandhinagar, Surkarpada, Unnati, Siddanchal, Jail, Saket, Ritupark, Rustomji, Kalwa, Kharegaon, Atkoneshwarnagar, Raghukul, Mumbra. On February 22, 23 and 24, there will be no water supply in Siddheshwar, Samtanagar, Dosti, Akriti, Johnson Eternity areas for approximately 36 hours from 9am to 9pm. There will be no water supply in Indiranagar, Lokmanyanagar, Kisannagar, Srinagar, Shantinagar, Ramnagar, Rupadevipada, Savarkarnagar, Dawlenagar, Pereranagar, Kailasnagar, Bhatwadi areas from 9am Thursday to 9am Friday. Therefore, the Water Supply Department of Thane Municipal Corporation called on citizens to use water carefully and store it properly.
