Batteries, a hubcap, an LED, a jack were stolen on Sunday from the quad of Vishnu Chhaganrai Tawar (49, Res. N–12) in Mukundwadi. On the suggestion of Inspector Bramha Giri, Sub-Inspector Balasaheb Aher opened the investigation. Then a tip learned that an ISAM was looking for a buyer to sell four wheel jacks in Ramnagar area. Then the thief tried to flee, avoiding the police. But after being caught, he revealed his name is Arun Yashamwatrao Kunte (40).
A few months ago his wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Arun didn’t have enough money to treat his wife properly. Arun didn’t know what to do now. he was thinking. Something must be done now. Either way, you have to make money. He decided he had to leave now by all means.
He then fought Shakkal. Since Arun is a driver himself, he thought he could steal car parts and resell them to cover monthly drug expenses. He started doing that too. At first it was successful. So he admitted that he quit the driver’s job and started stealing. The police recovered the stolen equipment from his possession. The police are conducting a further investigation into this case.
