Chief Minister Shinde has dealt another blow to the Thackeray family. Former minister Aditya Thackeray and officials close to Matoshree Ramesh Pawar have been arrested. Ramesh Pawar previously served as co-commissioner of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
Who is the city commissioner of Nashik?
Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar will now replace Pawar as Municipal Commissioner of Nashik. Dr. Pulkundwar is a privileged officer of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Pulkundwar was previously an officer in the MSRDC department.

Ramesh Pawar took office as commissioner of the Nashik Municipal Corporation on March 24, 2022. But Shinde tried to deal a blow to Thackeray by getting Ramesh Pawar back while the term is not over. In just four months, their transfer orders were issued. Meanwhile, this is seen as a blow to Shiv Sena in the face of the Nashik municipal elections.
Then-City Commissioner Kailas Jadhav was blamed for the alleged scam of apartments to be transferred to MHADA. So he was also hastily transferred. Ramesh Pawar was appointed in his place.

So far, the Shinde group has managed to defeat many MPs, MPs and officials in favor of Thackeray. From the removal of Thackeray’s close aide Vinayak Raut from the position of Lok Sabha Group leader to the removal of Aditya Thackeray’s Vice President Varun Sardesai from the position of Yuva Sena’s secretary, Shinde has reached great heights.
