This car was in our police station area. Sandeep Veer, the owner of this car, saw all this and came to the police station himself. He told us what happened on the night of August 3. According to Sandeep Veer, on the 3rd he had gone to Shirur from Ranjangaon for his brother’s birthday. The distance between Ranjangaon and Shirur is 17 to 18 kilometers. After that, Sandeep Veer came back after celebrating his birthday. He lives in the village of Bhambarde in Shirur taluka. Friends from the village threatened to come soon after Sandeep Veer.
So Sandeep Veer was driving at 80-90 speed. Veer himself informed the police that he had passed several cars. Vinayak Mete’s car was also on the road at the time. Police officer Balwant Madge advised that this car was also overtaken by Veer.
CID probe on the Vinayak Mete accident
An investigation by the CID will be carried out into the death of Vinayak Mete, president of the Shiv Sangram organization and leader of the Maratha community. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde ordered the Director General of Police to carry out an investigation of the CID. Vinayak Mete, a five-time member of the Legislative Council, was in alliance with the BJP. Mete’s wife, Jyoti Mete, raised many doubts expressing doubts about the car driver’s claim. Because of this, a ring of doubt was created around the case of Mete’s death. Eventually, the state government took notice and began handing the matter over to the CID.
