Pat Cummins made a stellar start to his Test captaincy as Australia led Australia to a 4-0 win over England in the 2021-22 Ashes series. Succeeding Tim Paine in that role, Cummins not only helped his side maintain the urn, but put up an impressive performance. After the fourth Ashes Test ended in a thrilling draw, the hosts defeated Joe Root’s side by 146 runs in Hobart in the fifth and final match. After the win, Cummins wowed fans with scintillating gestures for batsman Usman Khawaja during the trophy celebrations.
After the trophy was handed over, the Australian players were about to open champagne bottles and spray each other. But Cummins had realized that Khawaja would not be able to be a part of it all.
So, he signals his teammates to put the bottles away and asks Khawaja to attend the trophy ceremony.
Here is the video:
Pat Cummins realized that Khawaja had to stand away due to alcohol, so he asked his team to clear it and called Khawaja back immediately. a very small but very beautiful gesturepic.twitter.com/KlRWLprbWM

Khwaja is a practicing Muslim and alcohol is prohibited.
In the fourth Test, Khawaja was included in the playing XI in place of Travis Head.
The 35-year-old became only the third player to score centuries in both innings of a Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, scoring 137 and 101 (not out) against England.
He also became the sixth Australian batsman to score twin centuries in an Ashes Test.
Despite their power-packed knock, England managed to hold on to Australia and draw the fourth Test match.
Khawaja retained his place in the fifth Test but failed to replicate his form as in the previous match.
