BCCI General Meeting on October 18, General Assembly to select India’s representative in ICC

The BCCI has confirmed that its AGM (Annual General Meeting) will be held on October 18. As per the notification sent by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, the AGM will be held in Mumbai. The women’s IPL is one of the important items on the agenda circulated to the state associations on Thursday evening. Also on the agenda are the election of office bearers: president, vice president, secretary, joint secretary and treasurer.

At the top of the agenda will be the election of India’s representative to the International Cricket Council.

The two candidates so far are former BCCI strongman N Srinivasan, 77, and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, 50. There are 29 points on the agenda.

Two representatives (one male and one female) will be elected to the Apex Council from the Indian Cricketers’ Association (ICA), two members of the general body will also be included in the IPL’s governing council.

All standing committees and cricket committees, including the committee of umpires, will be appointed. Lokpal and Ethics Officer will be appointed.
