CWG 2022: Smriti, Jemimah and bowlers help India beat England to enter women’s cricket final

The Indian women’s team entered the final of the Commonwealth Games after defeating hosts England by four runs in the final here on Saturday. Opting to bat, Smriti Mandhana scored 61 and Jemima Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 44 in the semi-final to take India healthy to 164 for 5. In reply, England posted 160 for six in the allotted 20 overs, with Natalie Sciver (41) and Daniel Wyatt (35) scoring the most runs for the hosts.
