The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has so far given fans some scintillating cricketing action. But it is not just the battle between bat and ball that has been a source of amusement for the fans. Even the pre-match shows in T20 leagues are providing fans a lot to talk about, most notably former New Zealand cricketer Danny Morrison lifted presenter Erin Holland on his lap and held her in front of the camera Live twisted, leaving fans of the T20 league in a tizzy. Morrison is known for his quirky behaviour, cracking jokes, trolling players and mocking his fellow commentators during his commentary duties in various international and franchise-based matches.

Morrison, who is currently doing commentary for PSL 2023, lifted presenter Holland in his lap before the start of the match between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United on Sunday.

Holland himself tweeted video of the incident, with the caption: “Love ya Uncle @SteelyDan66 @thePSLt20”.

In reply, Morrison wrote: “Just keeping you on your toes Mrs Cutting!!! #PSL8”.

This is not the first time that Morrison has done this before the start of a cricket match. Earlier during his stint in IPL, the New Zealander had carried a cheerleader on his shoulders. In another incident, he did the same thing to former IPL anchor Karishma Kotak.

For the match, Gladiators posted a total of 179/6 on the board after opting to bat first, thanks to stellar performances from Mohammad Nawaz, Najibullah Zadran and Umar Akmal.

Chasing a tight target, Islamabad did really well and overhauled the total with three balls to spare. Colin Munro, Azam Khan and Faheem Ashraf were the best batsmen for the team.
