The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the change of venues for West Indies’ upcoming tour of India. Three ODIs will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and three T20 matches will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The BCCI’s official release said, “The decision to limit the series to two venues instead of six, as originally announced, will result in a reduction in the travel and movement of teams, match officials, broadcasters and other stakeholders in the bio. To minimize security risks.”
On 19 January, ANI had reported that the upcoming series between India and West Indies will be played at just two venues, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
This series will start from 6th February and will end on 20th February.
