India T20 cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is very excited to play in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) starting October 14. The Indian skipper was talking after he failed to finish the tour of Australia on a high as he suffered losses. On Sunday, they lost by 14 runs in the third and final T20 match at the Metricon Stadium in Carrara. Australia went on to capture the multi-format series 11-5. During the post-match presentation Kaur said: “The result was not in our favor but Pooja Vastrakar did really well throughout the tournament, Richa Ghosh took a lot of responsibility, we can take a lot of positives out of it and we are right.” on the way.
“We have shown our performance day after day, whenever we get a chance, we need to prove ourselves and that is what we did throughout this tour. We must thank the support staff for their support and they were there for us whenever we needed them. “
“I’m so excited [on playing the WBBL] And it’s a great opportunity for us to grow as a team. If we can get those games ahead of the international tournament, it will be great for us.”
Notably, the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) on Thursday confirmed a revised 59-game schedule for the upcoming season, reinforcing Australian Cricket’s commitment to making cricket the premier sport for women and girls. WBBL | The 07 regular season will be played at venues in Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia.
WBBL | The venues for the 07 final series are yet to be confirmed. The matches will be played on November 24, 25 and 27.
