Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant may retain the same playing XI from the last game against Mumbai Indians (MI) when his side join the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on Monday. Will be from. Both the teams are currently level at the top of the standings on 18 points, with CSK leading on net run rate. Monday’s match will be the last match in the league stage for both the teams and they will look to finish top spot with a win.
Here is the playing XI that we think DC can field against CSK:
Prithvi Shaw: The opener could only manage six runs against MI in the previous game and will be hoping to give DC a good start this time around.
Shikhar Dhawan: After losing the top spot in the Orange Cap race, Dhawan would look to score a big score against CSK.
Steve Smith: The Australian star could not reach double digits against Mumbai and will be desperate to score a big score across the board on Monday.
Rishabh Pant: The captain in his middle-order role will be hoping to speed up DC’s innings.
Shreyas Iyer: Iyer played a brilliant knock of 33 not out to help DC beat MI and will look to put up another good innings with the bat.
Axar Patel: After three wickets against Mumbai, Akshar will be eyeing another good performance on Monday.
Shimron Hetmyer: The 24-year-old West Indies star could be crucial for DC due to his big hitting ability.
Ravichandran Ashwin: Ashwin, one of the most experienced players in the team, is an important part of Pant’s plans.
Kagiso Rabada: The South African pacer didn’t have a particularly good run against MI and will be hoping to recover his form against CSK.
Avesh Khan: After a stellar performance against MI, Avesh would like to continue his strong run.
Enrique Nortje: The South African pacer would look to put up another good performance against Mumbai after the figures of 1/19.
