Mustafizur Rahman’s exceptional fielding saved a certain boundary and won many hearts during Rajasthan Royals (RR)’s seven-wicket loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). It was in the ninth over of RCB’s run-chase when batsman Glenn Maxwell pulled off a rising Karthik Tyagi, which seemed to be sailing over the fence for a six. However, Mustafizur stunned everyone to see him with his constant hang-time to slap the ball inside the boundary while in the air.
This effort received immense praise from his peers. Here’s how Rahman stole the show in the field:

The fielder’s extraordinary effort came when the match was in limbo as RCB still needed 76 runs from 68 balls to win the match.
To RR’s dismay, RCB ended up winning the team with seven wickets and 17 balls to spare. Glenn Maxwell scored a brilliant half-century while wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat played a blistering knock of 44 runs.
Rahman was the most successful bowler with two wickets for his side, while the others went without a wicket.
Batting first, Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal were the only major contributors for RR. Lewis scored 58 while Jaiswal scored 31 runs.
Harshal Patel was again the bowlers’ choice for RCB as he took three wickets.
It was RR’s seventh defeat in 11 matches while RCB consolidated their third position in the points table.
RR will next take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on October 2 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
