MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets on Thursday to become the first team to qualify for this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs. It was veteran MS Dhoni who was finishing the match in his own unique way – to secure victory for his side. With that result, SRH are now officially out of the race for a place in the playoffs. Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad contributed well with the bat to stay in the race for the Orange Cap, which is currently held by Shikhar Dhawan.
