There have been some great performances in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). With the prevalence of fast bowlers in cricket in the country, it is only natural that the merchants of pace have grabbed the headlines. From the unhealthy Ihsanullah to the talented Naseem Shah, there have been some memorable performances. On Monday night too, pacers Mohammad Hasnain (3/13 in 4 overs) and Naseem Shah (1/19 in 4 overs) starred for Quetta Gladiators against Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi. However, despite the duo’s performance, Peshawar chased down the target of 155 in 18.3 overs.

Naseem’s only wicket was that of West Indies star Rovman Powell (36, 23b). On the third ball of the 13th over, Naseem bowled a yorker that was too high for Powell as the ball hit the base of the middle stump.

Former England captain Nasser Hussain called Pakistan’s fast bowling duo – Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah “gold dust” and advised the team to rest and rotate both the players.

Pakistan need to rest and rotate their fast bowlers. Both Naseem and Shaheen are like gold dust, and you need to be very careful with both of them playing in all three formats,” Cricket Pakistan quoted Hussain as saying.
