Neeraj had earlier said that he hoped to break the 90m barrier this year. Later, Chopra felt he could have achieved the position in Stockholm. “In this new year, I hope to put an end to this question. I could do it if I could move my leg forward a few centimeters. Yes, it is just a matter of six centimeters – but the magic mark for an athlete when Even if you talk about a top athlete, we all say that he has completed 90 meters.

“But I am not bothered about the pressure of expectations. It will happen when it has to. It could have happened last year or the year before, but maybe God has put a right time and place for it.” He did not succumb to the pressure of expectations and said that he always takes them positively.

“I don’t think too much about expectations. Yes, you have to manage both your own expectations and those of others. But when I’m competing, my mind goes blank.”
