England’s bowling all-rounder Sarah Glenn took a sensational catch in the ongoing The Hundred Women’s tournament on Saturday. Representing the Trent Rockets against Manchester Originals at Old Trafford in Manchester, Glenn showed amazing athleticism to send opponent’s opener Lizelle Lee back into the hut. On the 24th ball of Manchester Originals’ innings, Lizelle tried to hit Katherine Bryce over the mid-off fielder, but Glenn ran back and took his leap to perfection to complete the catch. He took the catch and dived beautifully to ensure that the catch was taken cleanly.

Talking about the match, Trent Rockets, batting first, scored a total of 119 runs for 5 wickets. Wicketkeeper Abigail Freeborn led the innings with an unbeaten 45 off 38 balls. His performance included seven fours. Meanwhile, Alana King’s cameo of 19 not out off 9 balls also helped the team.
In the bowling department, Deandra Dottin took two wickets while Kate Cross, Hannah Jones and Sophie Ecclestone took one wicket each.
Manchester Originals were all out for 76 in reply to Trent Rockets’ total. The team kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and fell well short of the opponent’s total. Lizelle was their top run-scorer with 17 off 13 balls.
For Trent Rockets, Alana King stole the show with four wickets (4 for 15). Meanwhile, Katherine Bryce and Sarah Glenn took two wickets each and Bryony Smith took one.
