Kolkata Knight Riders pulled off a famous win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, with Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh leading the charge. Such was the magnitude of the victory that even co-owner Shah Rukh Khan joined in the celebration of the players. However, when Shah Rukh asked his SRH team to bring Rinku Singh from the dressing room to field, the Knight Riders batsman had a funny response that left everyone in splits.

After the conclusion of the match, Shahrukh asked his team to follow Rinku while leaving the dressing room for the post-match presentation. Realizing that he would need to speak to the media in English, Rinku retorted by saying “Sab Angrezi wale hain (Everyone will speak English)”.

For the match, Shardul Thakur hit a half-century in the counter-attack before the spinners played their part as Kolkata Knight Riders made a memorable homecoming with an 81-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

KKR found themselves tottering to 89/5 before Thakur struck a brilliant 29-ball 68 to take his team to 204/7 after RCB opted to bowl.

Coming in at number seven, Thakur hit the joint-fastest half-century off 20 balls and shared an entertaining 103-run wicket partnership off 47 balls with Rinku Singh (46 off 33 balls).

In reply, RCB failed to go the distance and were bundled out for 123 in 17.4 overs with the trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and debutant Suyash Sharma sharing eight wickets among themselves.
