The three-match Test series between India and South Africa is well prepared for a 1-1 draw with the final Test to be played at Newlands in Cape Town from January 11. India won the opening match by 113 runs at Centurion’s SuperSport Park. The visitors lost in the second game against a spirited South African team, with home team captain Dean Elgar leading. The opener guided his team to a target of 240 with relative ease as the Indian team was knocked out in the later stages of the Test match at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video revealing India’s trip to Cape Town and their final “touchdown”.

Ahead of an important game that promises to be an exciting one, players look quite relaxed. The post was captioned by BCCI as:

“Touchdown Cape Town. #TeamIndia #SAvIND”

According to KL Rahul and head coach Rahul Dravid, the Indian team is expected to have their regular Test captain Virat Kohli back in the playing XI. Kohli missed the second game due to a back spasm and hence KL Rahul led the team in the longest format for the first time.

However, the stand-in captain could not maintain India’s winning run in the series and the visitors lost their chance to create history by claiming their maiden Test series win in South Africa.

India will again get a chance in Cape Town along with Kohli to increase the batting depth of the playing XI.
