Suryakumar Yadav moves to second spot in ICC Men’s T20I rankings



India batsman Suryakumar Yadav and South African spinner Tabrez Shamsi have made a significant advance in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings to finish second for batsmen and bowlers respectively in the latest weekly update. “Yadav has moved up three places to within two rating points of top-order Babar Azam after his scintillating 76 off 44 balls, which won him the player of the match award and took him to a batting total of 111 runs from three matches. In the ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings, India opener Shikhar Dhawan has moved up one place to 12th position after scoring a half-century in the last match of his ODI series in the West Indies. India bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal (16th) and Shardul Thakur (72nd) also got the latest update while West Indies skipper Nicholas Pooran has gained two places to be at 30th.
