Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik bowled the fastest delivery in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) as he bowled at 152.95 kmph during his side’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. While bowling his second over in the match, Umran bowled the first ball at a speed of 147 kmph. His fourth delivery in that over was 152.95 kmph on the speed gun. While it was a full toss, the young pacer surpassed Lockie Ferguson, who bowled at 152.75, to register the fastest delivery of the season in this year’s IPL.
Soon after Umran’s rapid over, fans and former cricketers took to Twitter to appreciate the raw pace of the young J&K player.

It was a night to remember for Umran as he took his maiden IPL wicket. The pacer bowled a short delivery and stunned KS Bharat, who slammed it straight into the hands of Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps.
Umran, who made his IPL debut last week, grabbed the attention of cricket fans in his very first match as he bowled a ball at 151.03.
