Urvashi Rautela called Rishabh Pant the ‘Pride of India’, wished him a speedy recovery. Watch

Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela on Friday wished Rishabh Pant a speedy recovery while talking to the paparazzi and also called him the “pride of India”. The actress was at the Mumbai airport when photographers asked her about Pant’s video published on social media, showing him walking for the first time after the surgery. The actress was initially not sure which photo the photographer was talking about, but then added, “She is an asset to our country,” and called her “the pride of India”. When a photographer said that his prayers were with the star player of the Indian cricket team who had been injured in a road accident, he replied, “Hamari bhi (mine too).”

The young cricketer suffered multiple injuries in a road accident on 30 December and though the incident caused his car to catch fire, Pant managed to escape safely in time.

Since then, he has undergone several surgeries and according to reports, his burns are also healing. Doctors have predicted that he will need 6-9 months to fully recover from the injuries and he will definitely not play in this year’s Indian Premier League.

Urvashi has posted several cryptic messages about the cricketer including Pant posting a picture from the hospital and one picture with the caption “Praying, love Urvashi Rautela”.

Earlier, Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev expressed his concern for the youngster and on a lighter note, he wants to slap Pant as soon as he recovers from the injuries sustained in that fatal accident.

Kapil Dev said in a video on Uncut that Pant’s absence has put the Indian team in trouble. Just like parents have the right to slap their children if they make mistakes, Kapil wants to do the same with Pant after he recovers.
