“Wastes A Lot Of Money”: Father Of Bharat Star Who Got Rs 1.9 Crore In WPL Auction, Wants Daughter To Do The Same

Indian women’s cricket team all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.9 crore in the Women’s Premier League auction held in Mumbai on 13 February. Her father Bandhan Ram, a former BSNL employee, said that Pooja has a habit of spending and as a result, she would keep the money in fixed deposits.

Bandhan Ram told The Indian Express, “She wastes a lot of money. I want her to make an FD of all the money.”

Vastrakar has established himself as an asset for the national side and his father recalled the early days of his cricket training when he already had dreams of playing the game at the global level.

Bandhan Ram recalled, “From the age of four, she has been into cricket. I never thought she would play for India one day. But she always knew it.”
